Dhivya Sri Narayani Arumugam began her inspiring yoga journey at the age of four. At just 10 years old, she has discovered that the practice is her daily source of calm, strength, and happiness. She is passionate about exploring new asanas, using pranayama to connect with her breath, and finding peace through meditation. For Dhivya, yoga has been a profound teacher, emphasizing that patience, focus, and kindness are virtues as valuable as physical strength and flexibility.
She holds a strong belief that when children practice yoga, they not only become healthier but also more confident and compassionate. It is her heartfelt wish to share this joy, encouraging young people to roll out their mats, smile, and discover the awesome power of yoga. She wants to inspire others to embrace yoga as a constant companion for a lifetime of health, happiness, and peace.
“Every breath is a fresh beginning.”
My Hobbies
Everyone has hobbies that make life more enjoyable, and I have two that I truly love—drawing and classical dance. Both of them bring me happiness and allow me to explore my imagination in different ways.
I enjoy drawing whenever I have free time. Most often, I sketch cartoon characters, animals, and beautiful scenes from nature. To make my drawings more colorful, I use crayons, markers, and colored pencils. Sometimes, I design greeting cards for my friends and family, and it makes me proud when I see their smiles after receiving them. Drawing not only helps me relax but also improves my creativity.
My other hobby is classical dance. I began learning Bharatanatyam when I was seven years old. To me, dance is more than just movements—it is a combination of rhythm, expressions, and storytelling. I love practicing in front of the mirror and enjoy performing at school and cultural events. Dancing keeps me fit, builds my confidence, teaches me discipline, and connects me to our traditions and culture.
Both drawing and dancing bring great joy to my life. One lets me create colorful pictures on paper, while the other allows me to express emotions through graceful movements. I feel proud of my hobbies, and I dream of becoming both a skilled artist and an elegant dancer in the future.
